ARB Meeting August 18, 2009

Attendees:

Doug Knoche, Leonard Neely, Dana Nowack, Mike Guarino, and Art Treiber,

Meeting Minutes:

1. The meeting was called to order.
2. Previous minutes were reviewed. Corrections were noted and made.
3. Motion was presented to approve the minutes. Oral vote was called and received unanimous approval.

Old Business:

Five Items were discussed:

• FORA landscaping: Pending work was completed.
• Plaseied parking issue on grass: Issue is still under review by Fairfax County.

New Business:

Three applications were presented that had been received since the last meeting and forwarded by the management company.

Application 1: 1225 Ox Hill – Replace front windows, front door, trim and shutters.– Application was discussed. The Chair received a motion to approve by Danna Nowack, Seconded by Art Treiber. Application is approved.

Application 2: 12412 Washington Brice – remove decking and replace with screened porch..– Application was discussed. The Chair received a motion to approve by Danna Nowack, Seconded by Mike Guarino. Application is approved.

Application 3: 12423 Alexander Cornell – Replace Garage Door with a style of door that is not consistent with the design of the neighborhood or the home (Carriage Style). – Application was discussed. The Chair received a motion to return to the application to the homeowner unapproved by Leonard Neely, Seconded by Dana Nowack. Application is not approved.

Application 4: 3805 Rueben Simpson Ct. – Retaining wall and flagstone walkway..– Application was discussed. The Chair received a motion to approve by Mike Guarino, Seconded by Art Treiber. Application is approved.

No additional new business was presented.

Motion was made by Mike Guarino and seconded by Art Treiber to adjourn.
