WHAT'S NEW:
The July 2010 Board of
Directors Meeting has been cancelled
due to a lack of quorum. The next
Board meeting is
scedualled for
Thursday, August 19th.
The minutes of the April 2010 ARB have been
posted. The next meeting is scheduled for 7:30 PM on June 15, 2010 at
12549 LT NICHOLS ROAD
to consider applications submitted at least seven days prior to the
meeting. Anyone interested in volunteering to join the ARB please
contact Jan Fenton at the address in the Contacts section.
The Traffic Calming Task Force has put forth
it's preliminary recommendations
on where traffic calming devices should be placed on Charles Stewart
Drive and Ox Hill Road. (See the article in "From the Board of
Directors" in this month's Acorn). To see a map showing the proposed
placement of the traffic calming devices being considered, click on

The Board of Directors Meeting Minutes for MARCH
AND APRIL 2010 have been posted.
There is a new Sully District Newsletter That
contains items of
interest, such as the origin of the explosions heard in our
neighborhood on

The results of a November 2009 Study of traffic
speeds on Charles Stewart and Ox Hill have been posted (See the
Acorn "Board of Directors" article in the January Issue).
The Annual Meeting was held on November 18 at Navy
Elementary School.
Since the Special Meeting on May 18 did not achieve the 75%
participation required for a quorum to vote on modifying the Articles
of Incorporation or the Covenants and Declarations, a vote on the
Articles of Incorporation was the prime topic at the Annual Meeting.
The changes to the Declarations and Covenants will be reviewed and
submitted for consideration at a later date. To download in .pdf format
